CMT Got Me In With the Band Joe Nichols Airing in September Photos and story courtesy of lucky winner, Jessie. Day 1 It actually all started on Monday. I received the First call at 11:45am but Guess where I was at? Yup Still in bed :) Then at about 2:30 3 ish the phone rang again. It was Connie with High Noon Productions. She told me I was a Finalist for the CMT Got me in with the Band! I was so excited at that point. We talked for a bit. She asked me some questions and then wished me good Luck and said, "Hopefully we will see you later this week!" After that I went and ran the Fishing tournament that I do Every Monday! Day 2   It was about 10:00 am when Denise one of My Co-Workers called and Sat, "Jessie we Have a meeting at 11 am on Wednesday with some BIG WIGS from work so dress nice and be here at 11:00 am  I thought it was kinda weird because I had to work at 3 that day and thought why didn't she tell me then.. Well I went into Work at 3 and Stephanie and Denise were avoiding me at all costs. I told them about the call on Monday but I noticed they could not make any eye contact with me. They would just turn there heads.. Well I did what I had to do at work and I was finished at about 7:00 pm when All of a sudden I had to start changeing filters and What not in Fish Tanks. They made me go over and clean everything up in the store.. It was really getting weird... Day 3 I woke up got ready "For the Meeting with The Big Wigs" and suddenly then the phone rang.. My mom answered and talked and then she comes up the stairs and says I am going to your meeting with you.. I said, "WHY!?!" she said I have some shopping to do.. (I work at a PETCO and well we have tons of animals) So I was like ok. It was now about 10:45am and I was all ready to leave but my mom wouldn't let me.. She made me leave at exactly 11am!! Ok Yeah I would have been late for my meeting.. As I walk in on my left was my Manager Amy and two other Associates, Shannon and Sara.. Amy goes, "The Meeting is in grooming!" I turn around and saw Cameras! I was in complete shock.. So I walked into grooming and who of course was sitting at the desk? LANCE!! yup he was playing Mister grooming secretary or something.. It was crazy.. So he asked me some questions and of Course I gave him a HUGE hug! I was excited!! After that we had lunch at Subway and then headed back to my house.. I rode with Lance and Debbie in the CMT truck and talked a bit.. After we got to my house I introduced lance to my two Digs Shane and Timber and we sat around and talked.. As they were getting stuff set up Lance and I went up to my room :) HAHAH yup I had him in my room!! Well I introduced Lance to the Ferrets.. Nichols, McGraw, Jackson and Little Dixie.. So we sat up there and played with them for a good half hour or so.. Then I headed back down stairs and did some interviews and then brought Lance back up to see the ferrets again.. (You will all see this on TV) After that our day was pretty much over by 2 or so and Lance and them all headed off to there hotel.. In the mean time I was running around the house screaming!!! Day 4 I arrived in Lake Geneva at about 10am and we went off to the park to do another interview.. Of course Lance found himself amused with Parking Meters! It was funny.. Then we went to eat lunch and of Course Lance and his Chicken Wings.. After we piled back into the CMT Truck and lance and I did some talking and what not.. We had to sit close in Lance is words so it would be easier to tape.. We arrived at Country Thunder in Twin Lakes Wisconsin.. Lance had a job of keeping me hidden which Let me tell you is a task.. I saw a friend rolled down the window Climbed over Lance and Started screaming at him.. Lance thought I was ready to jump out.. Then we finally parked the truck and what not and went out and sat down on some rock things.. At this Point Joe's bus was coming up as well as Trick Pony's... It was so nerve racking.. Jim Joe's tour Manager came out and told me they were cleaning the bus for me.. I was getting so nervous at this point I couldn't sit still.. Well I got to go up on the bus and Finally meet Joe it was so awsome.. I was more excited then ever.. After I met Joe and had him sign by the quote I used in my year book.. I went off with lance to do a radio Interview with 99.5 out of Chicago!! Lance and I did a few pictures with people and hung out there for a while.. My Family Came up there and Lance and I were talking with them and what not.. Then Lance and I had to go get Joe again. Joe had to do his radio Interview.. So I walked next to Joe to the CMT Truck and we got up there and there wasn't to many people but as Joe started to talk the crowd gathered..After the Interview we went off the back of the bus and Joe did some singing but not without asking me first! Then I stole him away and had him take a picture with my Family and what not. I introduced him to all of them.. Then we did some radio sound bites with 99.5.. That was FUN!!! Then we headed off to the gazebo to do an Interview for the Jumbo Tron.. That was fun to.. So Lance Joe and I hung out for a while there before the Meet and Great started lance in charge of my camera took some pictures of Joe and I and then Joe got a hold of my camera and took some more pictures.. It was fun.. Then we did the meet and Greet.. As Joe singed things I took pictures of Joe and his fans.. It was awsome.. Then Joe headed back to the Bus and I did another interview and then I tried out for Lance's Job.. He said I did very good and I should have a good Chance of getting the Job!!! You know when he gets married and is on his honeymoon I will take over for a bit!! Then lance and I had time to walk around so we decided to walk off somewhere.. I ran into Eddie Montgomrey. Kieth and Ira From Trick Pony. Brad From Emerson Drive and Troy Gentry.. We walked around a bit before the show started and then headed off to the side of the stage.. We sat there for the entire show It was awsome.. Lance and I went Camera Crazy and then Of Course Joe pulled me out on stage and made me sing with him it was awsome!! I had way to much fun.. After the Show I did another Interview and then Lance signed some autographs for his fans and then I stole him away and we walked the grounds. We watched Trick Pony Perform and we got some popper things which lance had way to much fun with.. Then We walked up in the crowd to Watch Montgomrey Gentry and then We watched some more from backstage.. Then we were both getting tired..As we both had our arms around each other to stand up.. Then We went off to a quite spot and laid in the Grass for a half hour to wind down and get some energy.. Then at 10:45 pm we went back to Joe's bus and then hopped on the tailgate of a pickup truck and wondered off into the grounds of Country Thunder.. We crashed someone's campfire and sang campfire songs.. Joe and I also sang It's Your Love Together on the tailgate of the pickup truck.. Then after the fire we headed back to the bus and they turned the cameras off and I got to talk with Joe and Brian then lance stood up and started singing or something.. We were all sitting there just laughing at him.. Joe then gave me a hug told the camera how in 10 years we will be looking back on this as the day we met.. Then I did another radio interview and Lance and I took some more pictures and then we headed back to our hotel for the night.. It all ended at about 2 am.... It was an awsome day and a Day I will never forget... I would Like to Thank: Lance, Debra, Bruner and Tony.. As well as Connie and all the Other High Noon Productions people and of Course Joe, Brian, Jim and all of Joe's Band Members and Crew!! As well as the Folks of Country Thunder and the People that let us crash there campfire!!!
